What client partnership looks like at unphish

Meet Felix Stuart

At unphish, growth is not just about getting in front of more organisations. It is about making sure the right conversations are happening with the right people, and that those conversations are grounded in trust, relevance, and a real understanding of the risks organisations are facing.

For many security and risk teams, phishing, brand impersonation, and online scams are not abstract threats. They are live, evolving problems that can impact customers, damage trust, and create operational pressure very quickly.

That is where the commercial team plays an important role.

Working directly with enterprise customers, the team helps organisations understand how unphish can support their existing security and risk operations, from first conversation through to deployment.

One of the people leading those conversations is Felix Stuart, Senior Account Executive at unphish.

Felix works closely with enterprise customers to understand their exposure, their operating model, and the challenges they are trying to solve. His role is about translating technical capability into clear commercial value, while building the kind of trusted relationships that help organisations stay ahead of evolving phishing and brand-abuse threats.

For Felix, that starts with listening properly.

When you speak to him about his role, it becomes clear pretty quickly that he gets energy from the variety of people and organisations he works with.

Felix Stuart

“I love getting to speak with so many different businesses across completely different industries.”

Every organisation has a slightly different view of digital risk. Some are focused on phishing domains. Others are dealing with impersonation across social media, scam websites, fake ads, or customer-targeted fraud. Some have mature internal processes already in place, while others are still trying to understand what a scalable response looks like.

That variety is part of what keeps the role interesting.

Felix also spends time at industry events and conferences, where the conversations often move beyond individual products or services and into what security teams are actually thinking about.

“I also get a lot of energy from attending events and conferences, where you can learn what people are genuinely thinking about digital risk and see the industry evolve in real time.”

In a space that changes as quickly as phishing and online impersonation, those conversations matter. They give context to the problems organisations are facing and help shape how unphish talks about its platform in a practical way.

A big part of Felix’s approach has also been shaped by working closely with Ivor Jenik, unphish’s General Manager (formally unphish’s Commercial Director).

“I’ve learned a lot from watching how Ivor approaches complex conversations with clarity and calm.”

That ability to stay calm, cut through noise, and get to the core of the issue has had a clear influence on how Felix speaks with clients.

“He’s big on cutting through noise and getting to the root of the client’s actual problem, and that’s shaped how I frame conversations.”

That mindset is important because no two organisations come to unphish with exactly the same challenge. Sometimes the issue is visibility. Sometimes it is speed of enforcement. Sometimes it is proving action and maintaining an audit trail. And sometimes the real problem only becomes clear after a few deeper questions.

For Felix, the first step is never to assume.

“I always try to understand their world first: their goals, their risk profile, and what they’re actually trying to solve.”

That means taking the time to understand the organisation before talking about the solution. It also means being honest about whether unphish is the right fit.

“If that means recommending a different approach or even a different provider, then that’s the right thing to do.”

That kind of answer is probably not what people always expect from a commercial role, but it says a lot about Felix’s approach.

“Going in with that mindset keeps the conversation grounded, transparent, and useful for them.”

There is often a perception that sales is about pushing for the shortest path to a deal. But in a space like cybersecurity, that approach does not really work. Organisations need partners they can trust, especially when the work involves protecting customers, brand reputation, and digital infrastructure.

For Felix, that means long-term trust has to come first.

“For me, the guiding principle is to always prioritise long-term trust over short-term outcomes.”

It is a simple idea, but it has a big impact on the way client conversations are handled.

“If you’re genuinely focused on the client’s best interests, the right answers become a lot clearer, even when the situations are complicated.”

That also matters when organisations are trying to make decisions under pressure. Digital risk is not always neat or predictable. Threats can move quickly, stakeholders can have competing priorities, and the best path forward is not always obvious at the start.

For Felix, staying steady in those moments comes back to trust and open communication.

That mindset also helps me communicate openly and stay steady under pressure.”

A strong client conversation does not happen by accident either. It takes preparation, research, and the ability to explain complex issues in a way that feels relevant to the people in the room.

When asked what makes a presentation genuinely compelling, Felix’s answer is straightforward.

“Doing your research makes all the difference.”

It is not about overloading people with slides or trying to sound technical for the sake of it. It is about showing that you understand the problem properly.

“When you can demonstrate that you understand the problem as well, or sometimes even better, than the client does, they instantly relax and trust the process.”

That is where the relationship starts to shift. The conversation becomes less about selling a platform and more about working through a real problem together.

“A compelling presentation is really about clarity, relevance, and showing you’ve put in the work.”

That focus on preparation also reflects the wider way unphish works with clients. The platform is built to detect, validate, enforce, and monitor threats, but the value comes from how that capability is applied to the client’s environment.

For Felix, one recent moment made that impact especially clear.

“Recently, we detected and took down a large-scale phishing campaign for one of our major retail clients before it escalated into something bigger.”

It was a reminder of how quickly the work can move from conversation to real-world impact.

“The speed of the detection and the coordination across our team meant the client’s brand and customers were protected almost immediately.”

Those are the moments where the role becomes more than commercial. The work has a direct outcome, and the value becomes tangible.

“It was one of those moments where you feel the impact of the work in a really tangible way.”

That kind of impact is a big part of what makes working at unphish different. The threats being discussed in client meetings are not hypothetical. They are real campaigns, real scam infrastructure, and real risks to organisations and their customers.

For the commercial team, the challenge is to make sure clients can see that clearly, understand what can be done, and feel confident in the path forward.

That is where Felix’s style comes through. Calm, prepared, and focused on understanding the problem before jumping to the answer.

Outside of client conversations, there is also a more competitive side.

Felix is known internally for being good at Worldle, the geography guessing game where players identify countries based on their shape.

His strategy is surprisingly similar to how he approaches a client problem: narrow things down quickly, eliminate the obvious misses, and make an educated call.

“It’s all about narrowing things down fast. First, I lock in the continent, then I run through my mental ‘map’ of the region to eliminate the obvious misses.”

From there, it comes down to instinct and pattern recognition.

“From there, it’s just pattern recognition and making an educated guess.”

Outside of work, Felix is also a regular at the gym. When asked about his go-to exercise, his answer is simple.

“Can’t beat the pec-deck.”

He is also into history, especially the kind that gives you a window into how people moved, organised, and changed the course of events. If he could travel to any historical era for a day, he would choose the 1200s.

“Given it’s only for a day, and not to live there, I’d go back to the 1200s to see the Mongol armies in action.”

For Felix, the interest is in seeing how they actually operated.

“Seeing how they actually moved, coordinated, and overwhelmed cities would be incredible.”

And when it comes to travel, there is one place he would go back to straight away.

“Mexico, without a doubt.”

The reason is not just one thing.

“The food is unreal, the weather is perfect, and the culture and history are on another level.”

In a way, that curiosity carries through a lot of Felix’s work. Whether he is speaking with a new organisation, attending an industry event, preparing for a client presentation, or learning how different teams think about digital risk, the pattern is the same: understand the environment first, then work out the best way forward.

At the end of the day, client partnership at unphish is not just about showing what the platform can do.

It is about understanding what organisations are trying to protect, being honest about what they need, and building relationships that can stand up to complex, fast-moving threats.

For Felix, that is where the real value sits.
