Attack surface monitoring

See your brand the way attackers do.

Lookalike domains, exposed test sites, leaked data and new certificates all sit outside your network, where your own security tools can't see them. Unphish finds them from the outside, takes down what's being used against you and alerts your team to anything that's yours.

How it works

Found before attackers use it.

Before a phishing campaign starts, attackers look at what's public: domains like yours, forgotten test sites and data that's already leaked. We watch the same places, prove what's a risk and act on it before it reaches your customers.

01

Detect

We look from the outside.

New domains, subdomains, certificates and DNS and mail records are checked for your name, along with Telegram channels, breach forums, paste sites and dark web sources.

DomainsCertificatesDNS and mailTelegramBreach forums
02

Investigate

Yours, fake or leaked?

Evidence is captured automatically, including screenshots, DNS, WHOIS and SSL records. AI-assisted analysis scores the risk, an analyst validates it, and your official assets are whitelisted.

03

Disrupt

Taken down or handed over.

Lookalikes and leaks go to enforcement in one click, reported to the registrar, host or platform, and escalated if action is slow. Exposed assets that are yours go straight to your team with the evidence.

  • Posted again and againOne Telegram channel shared the same data 11 times, so removed posts were checked and reposts reported

Seen from the outside

It never touches your network.

Most attacks on your brand are set up on infrastructure you don't own. A lookalike domain is registered, gets a certificate and a mail server, then a copy of your login page. None of it shows up in your own logs or security tools until customers start getting the emails.

  • Lookalikes are often registered days before they're used
  • New certificates and mail records show they're getting ready
  • Leaked data is shared in channels your tools don't watch
  • Spotting them early means they can be taken down before launch

FAQ

Attack surface monitoring questions, answered.

What is attack surface monitoring at Unphish?

It's monitoring your brand's external attack surface: everything with your name on it that attackers can see from the outside, like lookalike domains, suspicious subdomains, exposed test sites and leaked data. We don't scan your internal network or test your systems for vulnerabilities. We focus on what's public and being used, or could be used, against your customers.

What do you monitor?

New domains and subdomains using your name, DNS, mail and SSL certificate changes, publicly reachable staging and development sites, cloned login and sign-up pages, hacked websites hosting your brand, and Telegram channels, breach forums, paste sites and dark web sources where data and logins are shared.

Can you remove leaked data?

Yes. We report leak posts to the platform or site hosting them, with evidence, and escalate if action is slow. In the first half of 2026, 96% of the leaked data posts we pursued were taken down. Removed posts are checked again so reposts can be reported too.

What if the exposed asset is ours?

We don't take down your own assets. If we find something of yours that's publicly exposed, like a staging site with a login page, we alert your team with the evidence so they can lock it down. Your official domains and accounts are whitelisted so they're never flagged as threats.

Can you act on a lookalike domain before it's used?

Often, yes. A new mail server, SSL certificate or cloned page shows a domain is getting ready for phishing. We flag those signals as they appear and report the domain to the registrar and host with the evidence, so it can be suspended before the first email goes out.

Can our team see what's been found?

Yes. Everything we find is in the client portal with evidence, status and a full timeline. You can export case packets, schedule reports and see every action taken, which gives you a complete audit trail.

Does Unphish help with UK scam and fraud rules?

Yes. Unphish helps UK organisations detect, disrupt and document impersonation, with a full audit trail of every detection and takedown. That record supports your work under the Online Safety Act and APP fraud reimbursement rules.

Safe
  • Main websiteYour official domain, recorded on the whitelist so it's never flagged.
  • Mail serverYour own mail record, pointing at your real email provider.
  • Help centreA subdomain you set up on your support platform, linked from your site.
Risk
  • Staging siteIt's yours, but a public test login can leak internal links and be copied for phishing.
  • New lookalikeNothing live yet, but a mail server and certificate mean it's getting ready to send phishing.
  • Leaked fileCustomer data posted publicly. The longer it stays up, the more people copy it.

Take them down

Two get taken down. One is yours, so it goes straight to your team.

Staging siteYour team

We don’t take down your own assets. Your team gets an alert with the evidence so they can lock it down.

New lookalikeRegistrar + host

Reported with the DNS, mail and certificate records, before the first email goes out.

Leaked fileSite or platform

The post is reported to the paste site or platform, then checked again for reposts.
